What the numbers say

D'chl铆ni Poscht 路 your question, answered with real data 路 September 2026
Your question

"Did fewer people start a checkout since we added the options?"

Yes, a little. But the full story is better than it looks. 馃挍
What actually happened

Out of every 100 visitors...

Old page (2 buttons)
10
opened a checkout
New page (7 options)
6
opened a checkout

Measured from Stripe directly (every checkout that opens is counted there), comparing your August ad weeks on the old and new page.

But people are not getting lost. They are reading.

Time on page, before
51 sec
Time on page, now
1 min 46 sec

Visitors spend twice as long on the new page, and just as many stay and engage as before (36% then, 35% now). The choice changed the click from a quick "why not" into a real decision.

What you got in return

Everyone who bought chose a bigger option

CHF 816 Monate
CHF 81Geschenk 6M
CHF 45Geschenk 3M
CHF 1441 Jahr
CHF 16/moInternational

On the old page, every sale was the CHF 15 monthly. Since the options page, every single buyer picked a package or a gift. Per 100 visitors, the new page earns roughly 3x more on the first payment (about CHF 63 vs CHF 21).

Monthly subscriptions keep paying every month, so over a year the gap is smaller. But the new page clearly does not earn less.

One thing to watch

The last few days are a different story

The numbers since 7 September look much lower than that 6%, but this part is not the page. Visitors from the current ad leave after about 20 seconds, compared to about a minute before, on the exact same page.

Visitors who stay & engage, August ads
35%
Visitors who stay & engage, current ad
13%

So the current creative brings many clicks, but from people who are less interested once they land. It is only 4 days of data though. Worth giving it a few more days before judging it.

A small win from this week

On 8 September someone took the International subscription. That is subscriber number 12, and the first International one ever.

From here

Two paths, both fine

A 路 Leave it as it is

The page trades fewer checkouts for bigger baskets, and the economics look healthy. Nothing needs to change.

B 路 Make choosing easier

Highlight one option as the recommended choice (for example a small "beliebteste Wahl" tag), so visitors who feel unsure have a default. A gentle test, easy to undo.

Your call, no rush. 馃拰
